Questions people ask
- What is the difference between Starter and Pro?
- The REST API and webhooks are on every plan, including free, and so are the design editor, real-time collaboration and unlimited templates. Starter adds AI drafting, version history with visual diffs, the template marketplace, and lifts the daily API ceiling from 500 requests to 10,000. Pro adds the review workflow, multi-step approvals and document lifecycle tracking, plus priority support.
- Do free-plan PDFs carry a watermark?
- No. Documents you generate from a Crixaa account are clean on every plan, including free. The only watermarked output is the free PDF you can download from a template page without signing up at all — creating an account is what removes it.
- Are there limits on AI drafting or API usage?
- AI drafting is included on Starter and above, and is not metered per generation. API usage is bounded by rate limits rather than a monthly quota: 120 requests per minute per key, and a daily ceiling per workspace of 500 on free and 10,000 on paid plans. Documents you generate from the console do not count towards the API limit — only calls made with an API key do.
- How many templates can I have on the free plan?
- As many as you need. There is no template cap and no workspace cap on free — what you are buying on Starter is AI drafting, version history and the marketplace, not headroom.
- How do I pay?
- Payments are handled by Razorpay — cards, UPI, netbanking and wallets. Subscriptions renew automatically until you cancel, and your card details never touch our servers.
- Can I cancel any time?
- Yes, from Settings → Billing. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the period you have already paid for, and you keep your paid features until then.
- Do you offer refunds?
- Subscriptions are billed in advance for a period you keep access to, so payments are generally non-refundable and partial periods are not pro-rated. If you were charged in error, write to us and we will put it right.
